Dos LOCOS

DOS LOCOS gives music focus, provides a rich sound stage with increased depth. It reduced the noise floor, separated the players. It puts them in the room.

It’s quite amazing just how much more you get above the Little Loco. It’s more open, more depth and width and more detail. The thing that really struck me is how it provides all this without loosing warmth. Vocals are bang in the centre and the speakers are gone. It’s really outstanding.

The sound is so beautiful. They are in the room. Spectator to a special event brought home. So real so powerful. So out of the way. This thing blows the top off of expectations.

Paired with a Dr. Feickert Volare/Kuzma Stogi/Hana Umami Red. All I can is WOW! I’m legit astonished. I’ve never heard a soundstage this realistic. When I shut my eyes, I can no longer even tell where my speakers are placed. It’s just a wall of sound, with every instrument in its own spot. Details never previously heard have come to life. It’s like magic. And I’ve only got around 20 hours of time on the units. Barely broken in.

These units are special. Hands down one of the top 3 hi-fi purchases I’ve ever made. I’m at a loss for words to articulate how incredible my analog rig sounds with the Dos Locos. I knew they would improve the sound of my turntable, but I had no clue just how much they would elevate my listening experience. The emotions I feel while listening are profound. The Dos Locos have shattered my high expectations.

Here’s my feedback on the DL… It’s quite amazing just how much more you get above the Little Loco.

It’s more open, more depth and width and more detail, but the thing that really struck me is how it provides all this without losing warmth. Vocals are bang in the center and the speakers are gone.

20/20 MK 2

I finally had a chance to audition the 20/20 at home, with my Avid Sequel/Dynavector 507/Soundsmith Zephyr (high output moving iron cartridge) and was gob-smacked with its performance.  It is coherent, dimensional, dynamic as heck, and has awesome timbral accuracy and detail.

As expected, the 20/20 is fantastic! The reviews mentioning “Natural” “Musical” and all the other adjectives that have been applied are so true for our system. Makes you want to put on record after record. The 20/20 is truly a no-brainer for a music lover.

LPS for 20/20

Earlier this week I purchased a Sutherland 20/20 with the Linear Power Supply from Upscale Audio.  Sean was my salesperson and he strongly suggested the Sutherland models.  He is clearly a wonderful advocate for you.

I am so very happy with this purchase.  This phonostage has made my turntable (Rega RP10 with Rega Aphelion cartridge) sound the best that I’ve ever heard.  I have spent several hours each day playing and replaying so many records – it’s been an absolutely blissful week. 

To my ears, your 20/20 was simply the best choice because I preferred the sound quality and I very much appreciate its simplicity. 

Thank you, again, for designing and building such a wonderful product (and for manufacturing it within the USA!).
